What does the NFC East look like after the 2026 NFL Draft?

How are NFL draft analysts rating the NFC East following the 2026 NFL Draft?

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports discussed the NFC East with Grant Paulsen on Tuesday on 106.7 The Fan. Here are some selected quotes from Wilson regarding how he now sees the NFC East teams after their draft.

Washington Commanders

“Sonny Styles: I think they are just scratching the surface on what he can become. Antonio Williams is fast, he is physical. He can win off the line of scrimmage versus press coverage. Joshua Josephs, I like that pick in the fifth round, that felt like some value there. Kaytron Allen is a between-the-tackles workhorse who reminds me of David Montgomery when he was with Detroit. QB Athan Kaliakmanis had to do a lot with a little at Rutgers. I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds a way to make this team as QB3.”

New York Giants

“All in all, they had a really good draft. They got to figure out the middle of the defense (after trading away big nose tackle Dexter Lawrence. Feels like they are helping their young quarterback (Jaxson Dart).”

Dallas Cowboys

“It was crazy that they got Caleb Downs (at No. 11). They are just checking boxes of their huge needs on defense (picks in first four rounds). They could hang 40 points on anyone; they just couldn’t stop teams from scoring 40. If you were to tell me they win the division, I wouldn’t push back too much on that because Jayden Daniels has been hurt, and we don’t know what is going on in Philly with the quarterback and A.J. Brown.”

Philadelphia Eagles

“Their draft was good, it wasn’t great. Their draft checks a few boxes, but in terms of ranking it with the rest of the division, I think it’s probably last, and it may be a distant last.”

Interesting, Wilson said that right after he had said the Eagles draft was good, not great.
