When does Georgia baseball play Mississippi State in NCAA Super Regionals?

Georgia baseball and Mississippi State clinched their spots in the NCAA super regional round on Sunday night. Now they have dates, times and TV channels determined for their best-of-three-series in Athens.

The battle of Bulldogs will be held Saturday-Monday, June 6-8 at Foley Field, according to an announcement by the NCAA on Tuesday.

Georgia is the national No. 3 seed and Mississippi State is No. 14.

Both teams went 3-0 in regional series at home last weekend.

The only other super regional matchup featuring national seeds is No. 11 Oregon at No. 6 Texas.

Georgia (49-12) swept three games from Mississippi State (43-17) in Starkville April 2-4 and also won their fourth game in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Hoover, Ala.

This time they will play for a spot in the College World Series.

“That team’s really good,” Georgia coach Wes Johnson said after the SEC Tournament win. “You know, think about this. I mean we talked about it beforehand. They’re the eighth-place team in this league. How deep is this league? I mean, those guys are really good.”

Georgia hasn’t gone to the College World Series in Omaha since 2008. Mississippi State is seeking its first trip since 2021 when it won its first national title.
