When will Cristiano Ronaldo reach 1000 goals?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal exited the 2026 World Cup after a heartbreaking exit to Spain in the Round of 16.

The Portuguese icon confirmed it would be his last ever World Cup appearance, however, an international retirement isn’t guaranteed.

Now, the iconic CR7 will look forward to another Saudi Pro League season with 1000 career goals in reach, but when will he get there?

Cristiano Ronaldo ended a 20-year-long heartbreak with Portugal last week en-route to an historic 1000th-goal milestone.

The Portuguese striker bagged his first and only World Cup knockout goal with an equalising penalty versus Croatia.

Ronaldo now has struck 976 career goals, a staggering figure that leaves him well within reach of 1000.

In his most recent season for club and country, the No. 7 bagged 33 of those 976, meaning it is possible he achieves the milestone this next campaign.

In the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo bagged 28 strikes in 30 appearances, six of which were penalties.

He hit his 24th league goal of the season in Round 28 of the Saudi top-flight season, back in April of this year.

If the 41-year-old could score at the same rate this upcoming league season, he would hit 1000 goals by the same month of 2027.

Ronaldo, finally, has a Saudi Pro League title to defend, having fell from contention in each of his seasons prior to last.

The 41-year-old also proved to the world that he still possesses the ability to score goals on the biggest of stages, with three strikes in North America at the 2026 World Cup.

That made this tournament, his final ever, the second best of his career, behind 2018 in which he scored four.
