The grande dame of cycling’s spring classics is here, with Liege-Bastogne-Liege set for its 112th edition Sunday in Belgium.
Riders who tend to be in the general classification mix at grand tours have dominated the race in recent years, with Tadej Pogacar winning the last two and three of the last five, triumphs broken up by Remco Evenepoel’s victories in 2022 and 2023.
Both men are among the favorites in this year’s edition, but the rider everyone will be watching especially closely is Paul Seixas. The 19-year-old Frenchman has exploded on the international scene this spring, winning La Fleche Wallonne and the Tour of the Basque Country earlier this month and finishing second to Pogacar at the Strade Bianche in March.
The Liege-Bastogne-Lieges Femmes is also on tap Sunday, with the 10th edition of the women’s race. Past champions Demi Vollering and Anna van der Breggen lead the field there as Dutch riders look to reclaim their dominance of the monument.
Here’s everything you need to know to watch a full day of racing.
