Who are the BBC commentators for Spain vs Argentina in the World Cup Final?

It’s here. The big one. The World Cup Final.

No fewer than 103 matches have been and gone to get to this point; over 154 hours of football played, 618 minutes of hydration break endured.

And while those of a Three Lions persuasion would have liked to see their representatives in this showpiece decider, what a tie we have ahead of us. But who’s guiding us through it?

For the first time in this tournament for viewers in the UK, you have your pick of broadcasters, with the BBC and ITV both showing the 8pm BST kick-off.

In terms of the BBC, we now know who’ll be covering the all-important meeting in New Jersey.

Hosting proceedings will be BBC stalwart Gabby Logan, who brings almost 30 years of broadcasting experience to the programme.

Joining her with expert analysis of the final is a star-studded line-up of former England internationals, with Wayne Rooney, Micah Richards and Joe Hart offering their pre-match, in-game and post-match thoughts.

Speaking over the pictures during the two halves will be lead BBC commentator Guy Mowbray, a fan favourite and a true signal that a big game is upon us.

He’ll be joined by none other than Alan Shearer, who has carved out a post-playing media career as successful as his contributions on the pitch, but this will undoubtedly be one of his biggest gigs.

Pressure? What pressure?
