Jacksonville State baseball will turn to its Saturday starter to kick off the NCAA Tournament.
According to a release from the school, Beau Bryans has earned the start in the opener against Virginia. The game is set to start at 6:06 p.m. CT on Friday and airs on ESPN+. Jax State is playing in the Hattiesburg Regional.
Virginia announced that it will start Henry Zatkowski in the opener. The Maryland native previously was at Duke in 2025, where he went 5-2 with a 4.38 ERA. Zatkowski has started mostly on Fridays but has come out of the bullpen six times this season.
