Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is inching closer to its UFC 328 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled for this Sat. night (May 9, 2026) at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Headlining this weekend’s Paramount+ fight card is the middleweight title fight pitting current 185-pound titleholder, Khamzat Chimaev, opposite former division kingpin, Sean Strickland. In the UFC 328 co-main event, 125-pound champion, Joshua Van, defends against No. 3-ranked flyweight contender, Joshua Van.

Not surprisingly, the promotion will roll out its A-team for broadcast and commentary duties.

Longtime play-by-play man, Jon Anik, leads the cageside charge alongside color commentary legend, Joe Rogan, and former UFC two-division champion, Daniel Cormier. As usual, “Veteran Voice of the Octagon,” Bruce Buffer, will handle fighter walkouts while roving reporter, Megan Olivi, covers pre- and post-fight interviews.

That’s according to MMA Junkie.

Retired UFC lightweight, Din Thomas, will pop in throughout the show with insight and feedback from a coaching perspective. In addition, UFC veterans Chris Weidman and Dustin Poirier join host Kate Scott at the analyst desk for all the combat sports chatter in “The Garden State.” Friday’s weigh ins show features Cormier and Weidman, along with host Dan Hellie and UFC commentator Laura Sanko.
