The San Francisco 49ers received an encouraging update on Nick Bosa’s ACL recovery. The 49ers defensive star might be back by training camp, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
On Thursday, while speaking to Bay Area media, Bosa shared an update on how the torn ACL recovery is going in Santa Clara and what could be a realistic return timeline.
“I’m pretty far along,” Bosa said. “[I’m] out on the field doing a lot of stuff, trying to just take it slow because I tend to push things quicker. I got injured pretty early last year, so there’s plenty of time for me to really kind of lay the groundwork to be ready for a long season. It’s going really well and I plan on being ready.”
Bosa also mentioned that his body “feels pretty darn good.”
As the defensive end is recovering from his right leg injury, the 49ers have not allowed him to participate in the organized team activities this week.

When Nick Bosa got injured?
The injury happened on Sept. 21 in the game against the Arizona Cardinals. He was tackled by Cardinals’ Kelvin Beachum and was put on the ground by Evan Brown.
As he tried to stand up, the 49ers defensive end knew he had damaged his ligament. When the injury was first reported, the 49ers provided a return timeline of late July or early August.
The latest update suggests that the recovery has been going fine and there have been no setbacks. This was expected since Bosa had previously experienced a similar injury in the past.
