The 2026 NFL draft begins today, and it’s an exciting time of year for football fans. Even though the Kentucky Wildcats won’t have a lot of players selected through the process, it’s still an event Big Blue Nation is sure to be tuned in for, and there will be some Cats picked overall.
Round one takes place on Thursday night, with rounds two and three coming on Friday and Saturday. Last year, Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston was taken in the first round, but this year, there doesn’t expect to be any Wildcats in round one. However, There are guys who could be taken on day two, and as many as five who are predicted to be picked overall.
For the former Wildcats who are expected to be drafted, this week is a culmination of their hard work over the past several years. It’s a dream come true, and fans will be excited to see them fulfill them.
