Rookies adjusting to their new situation is a big part of succeeding in the NFL. There have been cases where an NFL player in free agency does not want to land in a certain destination because of what that place has to offer. Rookies don’t have much of a choice with the NFL draft, but it seems USC safety Kamari Ramsey likes Houston as the Texans’ new draft pick.
In a recent tweet, Jonathan M Alexander, Houston Texans reporter, provides a statement from new Texans safety Kamari Ramsey:
“New #Texans DB Kamari Ramsey said he’s a huge KD fan, so he’s disappointed the Rockets are down 0-3 to his former high school classmate Bronny James and the Lakers.”
Kamari Ramsey will fit right in, already having a great level of support for the Houston Rockets, and that is exactly what helps when being in a new destination that you aren’t familiar with. Part of adjusting as a rookie is getting a feel for where you are now living. Hopefully, how poor this series has been for the Houston Rockets does not send Kevin Durant to another team right before his career ends, and just as Kamari Ramsey gets more involved in Houston.
It also goes to show how closely connected sports are. Bronny James and Kamari Ramsey both come from the same high school, relatives, which is that old notion “small world”. Kamari Ramsey will definitely be courtside for the matchups of the Rockets vs. the Lakers in his spare time.
