NFL insider (and Garett Bolles) provide positive updates on Bo Nix

After Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix underwent an ankle cleanup last month, there was much worry about whether the signal-caller would actually be ready by the start of training camp at the end of July.

However, there is good news. During Tuesday’s edition of FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams show with host Kay Adams, fans got both an outside insider perspective from James Palmer, and an in-building perspective from left tackle Garett Bolles about the rehabilitation progress of the third-year quarterback.

“This was a big talking point in Denver, because everybody was saying he was ahead of schedule; from Greg Penner the owner, to (head coach) Sean Payton, to (general manager) George Paton,” said Palmer. “But he’ll be on the field in June, he’ll be full-go in July, I’m told.”

Bolles also gave a thumbs-up on Nix’s rehab. “Bo’s a freak of nature,” said Bolles. “He doesn’t get too high with the highs, too low with the lows. He’s pretty even-keeled… I know this time of recovery is so difficult for him, but I also know it’s perfect for him because he can relax and focus on his wife and his baby.

“That’s just going to give him the juice and the desire to come back out and sling the ball like he did all last season… I know he’s doing everything he physically can to get that ankle right.”

After a cleanup procedure on his ankle, Nix is looking to get back on the field soon to help lead this Broncos offense through the gauntlet of their schedule.
