After falling short of an Olympic crown in Milan Cortina in the winter, Canada has its sights on gold at the 2026 IIHF World Championship.

The Canadians called up the big guns for the competition, enlisting a handful of supernovas — including Penguins standout Sidney Crosby and Sharks star Macklin Celebrini — in the hopes of capturing some additional hardware.

Historically, Team Canada has been the tournament’s best side. The Canadians have 28 gold medals under their belt, one more than second-place Russia.

And yet, Canada has proven unable to scale the podium on each of the last two trips to the tournament. In 2025, the Canadians finished a distant fifth, falling in the quarterfinals to Denmark. Suffice to say, they want revenge this time around.

With that, here’s a look at Canada’s World Championship roster in 2026.
