Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the Chiefs will re-integrate Rice into the team’s preparations once he is released from jail.
“That’s my guy,” Worthy said. “I’ve been talking to him every day, so I’m just praying for him.”
Reid was encouraged by how Worthy has practiced through OTAs so far.
“It’s great for him to be able to detail things, and he’s working like crazy at it,” Reid said of Worthy on Thursday. “I think he feels more comfortable now. He had a couple of things cleaned out there (surgically), so he’s just feeling good about that, and I think he’s in a good spot. We just don’t want to take any steps back.”
Even Worthy’s mother, Nicki Jones, has recognized the growth her son has shown in his young NFL career.
“As a mom, I’m watching him mature. I see how he’s handling things in the offseason,” Jones told reporters Saturday.
In partnership with the United Way KC, the KC Current hosted the majority of the Chiefs’ rookie class for their game against the Boston Legacy on Saturday, May 30. That included draft picks such as Mansoor Delane, Peter Woods, R. Mason Thomas, and Emmett Johnson. There were also a bunch of UDFAs in attendance. It was truly the perfect way for the group of players to bond ahead of their next OTAs practice session. They got to see firsthand how the city supports their sports teams.
The Chiefs posted a big album of the rookies’ trip to see the Current play on their Instagram page.
KSHB-TV’s Matt Foster also spotted the rookie class in attendance at the game.
The Current won the game against the Legacy, 1-0, with striker Temwa Chawinga scoring her 15th career regular-season match-winning goal. It seems fitting that this happened when her hair was dyed red with the Chiefs’ rookies in attendance.

4. Noah Gray
Unlike the rest of this list, Gray doesn’t have one clear threat sitting behind him, but a trio of options that have an open door after last season’s results. Gray had the worst catch percentage of his career and wasn’t a consistent source of offense in a year when the Chiefs badly needed the tight end to step up and help offset injury issues.
It was the most frustrating year of Gray’s career, and it has left plenty of room for a surprise contributor to step in and push for the spot behind Travis Kelce. Even if this isn’t the case, if Gray doesn’t show incredible improvement from a season ago, there is reason to wonder if a signing or trade could be in Kansas City’s future.

The Dream B1G Football Camp is part of Worthy’s Worthy1’s Foundation.
The free event took 350 kids in grades 3-8 through football drills, speed training, mentorship and more at Southeast High School.
“Just to show them there’s another way,” Worthy said. “Giving them an outlet, whether that’s football, whether that’s showing them you can be good at something else.”
Inside Chiefs Superfans Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd And Their Chiefs Text Thread | Forbes
In reality, Stonestreet, Sudeikis, Koechner, Heidi Gardner and Paul Rudd grew up in the Kansas City or Missouri area and cope with the ups — back-to-back Super Bowl titles — and downs — last year’s third-place finish in the AFC West — of the Chiefs via an active text messaging thread during games.
“It helps with the excitement. It’s always a lot of fun,” Riggle said. “We’re all absolutely fanatics.”
The comedic actors’ thread is just one of several Chiefs threads Riggle is on. He also has one with his Marine Corps buddies.
To help with the multitasking during Chiefs game, Riggle joked that he will “cheat” on the threads and send the same thought to multiple groups.
“I’ll just write, ‘Holy s—, Mahomes,’ whatever,” he said. “I’ll make the thing and then I’ll copy it and just paste, paste, paste, paste, paste and then send it.”

Biggest worry in 2026: Revenge of the Chiefs
It’s still Patrick Mahomes. It’s still Andy Reid. This is still the Chiefs.
Mahomes will have to prove that he can recover from tearing his ACL last December, but there should be little doubt that he can. He will be joined by Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker on an offense that should still be quite potent.
The Chiefs were humbled last season. They were knocked from their throne and they have had to listen to critics say that their dynasty is over for months. They will be hungry to get that all back this season and a team that still has the best coach and still has the best quarterback, when healthy, will not be a lot of fun to play under those circumstances.

Sources: Vikings hire Seahawks’ Nolan Teasley as GM | ESPN
Teasley has spent the past 13 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, where he began as an intern and advanced to assistant general manager in 2023. He replaces Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, whom the Vikings fired Jan. 30, and interim general manager Rob Brzezinski, who was also a candidate for the permanent job.
Because they fired Adofo-Mensah so late in the process, the Wilfs — the Vikings owners — decided to tap Brzezinski, their longtime salary cap analyst and contract negotiator, to lead a temporary front office during the most important team-building time of the year. Brzezinski will remain with the Vikings in his previous role as executive vice president of football operations, a source said.
Teasley was the only candidate among the five finalists without a clear connection to the Vikings or a key member of the organization. Brzezinski has worked for the Vikings since 1999 in a variety of roles, while Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Terrance Gray and Denver Broncos assistant general manager Reed Burckhardt each spent more than a decade with them as a scout. Los Angeles Rams assistant general manager John McKay, meanwhile, worked with coach Kevin O’Connell when O’Connell was the Rams’ offensive coordinator in 2020 and 2021.
“I mean, it’s gonna be perfect later on, but right now it’s still growing pains,” Moore said Tuesday amid organized team activities, via the Buffalo News’ Katherine Fitzgerald.
While Brady is beginning his first tenure as an NFL head coach, he’s coached Moore before during their shared time with the Carolina Panthers in 2020-21. Again, though, Moore admits he’s got work to do to get up to speed.
“I gotta catch back up to him,” Moore said of Brady, who was hired as the Bills’ head coach this offseason after three seasons as the team’s offensive coordinator. “He’s won a lot more games than I have since Carolina, and his offense has evolved into what it is today.”

Patrick Mahomes sees benefits in slowing down during Chiefs OTAs
Part of what makes Mahomes so dangerous is his ability to escape pressure and extend plays. But the downside of having that rare mobility is that quarterbacks can sometimes rely on it too heavily. Being forced to stay in the pocket gives Mahomes an opportunity to focus on his timing, his base, and working through concepts from start to finish.
Based on his comments, Mahomes seems to agree with this sentiment.
“I’m going to try to use it to my advantage,” Mahomes clarified. “It’s stuff that I can get better at, progressing through the entire concept and stuff like that. And I don’t have the ability to scramble. [If] you do that stuff right now, it should help me in those things, hopefully, whenever I get that ability back, I still will go through the progressions at a higher rate than I’ve done in the past.”
