Happy June, everyone! (Oh my gosh, how is it already June?)
This is another big month for the Cleveland Browns, as head coach Todd Monken will hold the final session of voluntary OTAs starting on Tuesday and running through Friday. Then comes the big one – MANDATORY minicamp – which takes place June 9 to June 11.
Those three days are sure to be filled with questions for Myles Garrett about how much face time he has had with Monken, how he feels about new defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg, and his thoughts on the possibility of being traded.
The mandatory camp will also be the final time that Monken will work with the offense before training camp, which brings him that much closer to making the first major decision of his tenure in Cleveland – which quarterback will he choose to lead the Browns this fall?
All that is still tomorrow’s problem, so for now let’s kick off the day with the latest edition of the Daily Dawg Chow.
Dawgs By Nature/Cleveland Browns
- 2026 Browns offseason: Veterans on the hot seat after the NFL Draft (Barry Shuck) – New players mean fewer jobs on the Cleveland Browns roster, especially after the 2026 NFL Draft.
- Browns AFC North odds: Worst to first chance not at bottom of the NFL list (Jared Mueller) – Could the Cleveland Browns go from worst to first in the AFC North? Odds are not high, but the NFL has parity all over.
- The uncomfortable truth Browns fans need to hear after this week’s OTA highlight clips (Orange and Brown Talk Podcast) – Here’s a reality check for Browns fans who have been riding high on the OTA highlight clips: the defense that was giving Cleveland’s offense fits this week was, in the most generous possible terms, a skeleton crew. And the offense was still sloppy.
- Browns WR Jerry Jeudy aims to return to Pro Bowl form in 2026 (ESPN) – The Cleveland Browns drafted two wide receivers — KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston — in the first two rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, but in the eyes of general manager Andrew Berry, it didn’t change the vision for the team’s incumbent WR1, Jerry Jeudy.
- Deshaun Watson Debate Gets New Twist From Browns Insider (Yahoo Sports) – Entering training camp and preseason action, the Cleveland Browns seem to have a wide-open quarterback competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders. While there has been some speculation about Watson being an option for the Browns past this season, one team insider isn’t having it.
The Feed
It’s not for nothing that the Browns have the worst QB room in the entire NFL.

- Steelers rebuilt their WR depth chart, but they still need Roman Wilson to deliver (The Athletic) – More than half an hour after practice ended at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, the wheels of the JUGS machines kept spinning. Thunk. Thunk. Thunk. The machines spit out football after football after football in the direction of Roman Wilson.
- Aidan Hutchinson: Lions remain ‘in a window’ to win Super Bowl despite disappointing 2025 (NFL.com) – In past eras of Detroit Lions football, a 9-8 season might well be viewed as a breath of fresh air. In 2025, it was a massive failure. The Lions were largely seen as Super Bowl contenders before falling short of the postseason after back-to-back berths. Despite the lackluster final results of a season ago, aspirations and expectations aren’t changed in the mind of Lions Pro Bowl defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
- How much will Falcons starters play in preseason under Kevin Stefanski? (The Falcoholic) – The new Falcons coach has a history of saving his starters for the preseason finale.
