Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is facing some tough questions after a potential affair with NFL reporter Dianna Russini was recently exposed. On Tuesday, he faced reporters for the first time since the news broke. His response has been the subject of many reactions online, including one from Dave Portnoy, the founder and owner of Barstool Sports.
Portnoy, who grew up in Massachusetts and is a Patriots fan, shared the video of Vrabel’s response to the scandal when speaking with the media on Tuesday on his account on X, formerly known as Twitter – accompanying the video was a caption that spared no praise for how the former All-Pro linebacker and two-time NFL Coach of the Year handled the situation.
“LEADER OF MEN!” wrote Portnoy. “Let he who has not made a mistake or bad decision cast the 1st stone! We You can’t spell Vrabel without accountability! Proud to be a Patriot! An organization that does things the right way!”
It’s clear Portnoy thinks that gave an admirable and appropriate response to the drama he’s now entangled in, but many NFL fans aren’t as happy with the response. And some are calling for punishment to be handed down, given that Russini was forced to resign from her role with The Athletic over the scandal.
