On Wednesday, NASCAR listed Evanna Howell on its penalty report, handing the woman — a senior account manager for 23XI Racing, as per her LinkedIn ‚ an indefinite suspension. The ban came following a “behavioral” incident at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Cabarrus County court records revealed Howell, 35, was arrested on Saturday, May 23. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, with an arrest warrant alleging she used a golf cart to assault a 77-year-old man.
The alleged incident took place at Charlotte Motor Speedway, per a Concord police report. The man suffered a “severe laceration” as a result of Howell’s alleged assault.

Howell was arrested on May 23 following an altercation that left a 77-year-old man with a “severe laceration.” Cabarrus County court records allege that Howell attempted to use a golf cart to assault the man. She was summarily charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury.
Howell was released from Cabarrus County jail on May 26 after posting a $125,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 16.
