Pierrot played two seasons at Melrose High School. He also played at Northeastern (2014, 2015), and currently plays for Çaykur Rizespor, a Turkish club.
The 31-year-old led Haiti in scoring last fall during the Gold Cup.
Pierrot will return to Massachusetts in Haiti’s first game of World Cup action on June 9 when his club takes on Scotland in a Group C match at 9 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
This marks the second time Haiti has qualified for the World Cup and their first appearance since 1974.
