French Open 2026: Moise Kouame, 17, becomes youngest man to win match at event in over three decades

It took one match at his first-ever Grand Slam event for Moise Kouame to make history. With his 7-6 6-1 6-1 win over Marin Čilić on Tuesday, Kouame became the youngest man to win a match at the French Open in over three decades.

Kouame, 17, notched six aces in his win over the 37-year-old Čilić, a former US Open champ.

With the accomplishment, Kouame became the youngest man to reach the second round of the French Open since Dinu Pescariu pulled off the feat in 1991.
