First championship group win wanted
This memorable debut season for our girls, marked by an appearance in the Austrian Women’s Cup final and championship group qualification, comes to an end on Friday evening. We’ll conclude the season in Graz with the ADMIRAL Women’s Bundesliga match against SK Sturm Graz. Referee Lena Hirtl will kick off the game at 18:30 CEST.
Our young team has already achieved a great deal this season, but Dusan Pavlovic’s players have yet to secure their first championship group victory. After two impressive draws against league leaders FK Austria Vienna, we are now aiming for three points in Graz. Making a prediction seems difficult, considering we’ve seen a ten-goal humdinger – the 5-5 draw in February’s away game – and some one-goal chess matches (both home games ended 0-1). If you include the matches that captain Lucia Orkic and her teammates played under the FC Bergheim banner, the record becomes a veritable drought: they failed to win any of their 18 meetings, losing 16.
While the final standings are already set – Sturm have lost their last four games but secured third place, while our team is guaranteed fourth – we certainly have a score to settle. You can follow whether the sorry run against Sturm ends, and our team finishes this extraordinary season with a bang on ÖFB TV.

For us, it’s about finishing the season with a strong performance. As a team, we’ve developed exceptionally throughout the year, and that’s exactly what we want to demonstrate in Graz. We’re focusing on ourselves and want to do our best once again.
