Memorial Day weekend isn’t just about national pride, it’s also about racing. The 110th Indianapolis 500 hits the track Sunday.
Often called “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”, the Indy 500 is built on centuries of history and tradition. Nearly 350,000 people are set to attend this weekend’s spectacle — a race which IndyCar Series drivers have been preparing for all year long.
As described in the name, the Indy 500 is a 500-mile race spanning 200 laps around the 2.5 mile oval. The checkered flag could truly be anyone’s to take, but experts are keeping eyes on Alex Palou, the 2025 winner and four-time IndyCar champion.
Who will reach this career accomplishment on Sunday?
