Makai Lemon on national TV when Eagles face Cowboys on Thanksgiving

One of the best parts of the NFL football schedule, the part that draws the most attention year in and year out, is the Thanksgiving slate. Last season, the three Thanksgiving games were great matches on paper, but injuries ruined those games. This year, newly acquired Philadelphia Eagles receiver Makai Lemon will join the Thanksgiving football parade as his Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys on the big day.

The Eagles-Cowboys rivalry is never dull, and this season, both teams are as even as they have ever been. The Eagles are soon to make a trade to send A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots, paving the way for Makai Lemon to be more productive than many expect.

In a game with this type of offensive firepower, a player like Makai Lemon could be a big x-factor. Vs the Iowa Hawkeyes last season, he had his best game and a game in which he was virtually unstoppable. With this game taking place during the halfway point of the season, that could allow Jalen Hurts and Makai Lemon’s connection to be really lethal by that point.

I think at some point this season, Makai Lemon will have a game just like he did vs Iowa at USC, and with the level of scoring that could occur in this Thanksgiving match, why not vs his team’s biggest rival, the Dallas Cowboys? I expect Lemon to embrace this rivalry. Exactly how Philadelphia has treated this match every year, I think he will buy into that and be a special part of it in year 1.
