Ouch.
BKFC 90 went down last night (Sat., May 30, 2026) inside Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, and in the main event, Rico Franco won the interim Welterweight title when he stopped Connor Tierney in their long-awaited rematch.
In the opening round, Tierney suffered a horrific broken jaw caused by an accidental headbutt — and while most fighters would have probably called it a night, he kept fighting for another round. Unfortunately, he was dominated from there and dropped four times, which led to the stoppage.
Check out the knockout and the aftermath below, but be warned: it is pretty awful.
Franco is now riding a two-fight winning streak and has set himself up for a unification fight with BKFC Welterweight champion Dustin Pague, who won the title at BKFC 86 when he defeated Julian Lane.
As for Tierney, his two-fight win streak was snapped, and he is now facing an extended stay on the sidelines after likely suffering a bilateral mandibular fracture.
In the co-main event, Darren Till scored a vicious knockout in his BKFC debut, stopping Aaron Chalmers in the second round (watch highlights).
