Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Jonas Omlin has agreed personal terms with FC Basel, according to Sky Germany.
The report also claims the two clubs are very close to an agreement and are discussing the final details, with the player expected to go through a medical next week.
The transfer comes as little surprise, with Moritz Nicolas firmly established as Gladbach’s first-choice goalkeeper, while Daniel Batz has arrived from 1. FSV Mainz 05 to provide backup.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper didn’t make a single appearance in the 2025/26 season, featuring neither for Borussia Mönchengladbach nor for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, where he spent the second half of the campaign on loan.
He previously spent two seasons at Basel as their first-choice goalkeeper between 2018 and 2020.
