What 2027 prospect Chase Lumpkin said about Alabama basketball

Lumpkin told Tipton his time in Alabama was “really good.”

“I enjoyed the coaching staff a lot, the facilities. I love the play style,” Lumpkin continued. “They play really free, fast, kind of like an NBA style game. I really enjoyed the school a lot.”

Alabama secured the first member of its 2027 class on Thursday, May 21 when point guard Anderson Diaz announced his commitment.

Over 20 other programs, including Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennessee, have offered Lumpkin, who says he is scheduling visits to Kentucky, Georgia, Florida State, Louisville, Oregon and UCLA, to name a few.
