Vikings request to interview Chargers’ Chad Alexander for GM

According to ESPN’s Adam SchefterChargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander was requested to interview for the Vikings‘ vacant general manager job.

Alexander has also garnered interest and interview requests from the Raiders, Jaguars, and Dolphins in the past for their general manager openings.

Before coming to Los Angeles, Alexander spent five years as the Jets’ director of player personnel. He played a key role in New York drafting Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner, the 2022 Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year.

Before joining New York, Alexander spent 20 seasons with the Ravens, most of which were with general manager Joe Hortiz. He worked in various roles, from an area scout to serving as Baltimore’s Assistant Director of Pro Personnel in his final nine seasons.

Should Minnesota hire Alexander as its general manager, L.A. would receive two 3rd-round compensatory picks as compensation.
