Aston Villa captain John McGinn lauded the UK’s Prince William for his support and hoped he would bankroll an epic party to celebrate winning the Europa League.
The Prince of Wales was in the crowd in Istanbul to witness the 3-0 victory over Germany’s Freiburg.
“He’s a classy guy, he was in the dressing room before the game. He’s a massive Villa fan so he was never going to miss it and it’s obviously great to have his support,” McGinn told TNT Sports.
“He’s just a normal guy – hopefully tonight he can have a couple of drinks with us and get his credit card out at the end of the night.”
