Cade Cunningham and the Pistons avoided elimination on Friday night with a convincing win in Cleveland, handing the Cavaliers their first home loss of the playoffs. Jaren Duren also had his best game of the playoffs as Detroit’s defense stifled the Cavaliers offense.
Donovan Mitchell, meanwhile, struggled mightily and needs to bounce back on Sunday to save Cleveland’s series. Mitchell’s 18 points were his lowest total since Game 3 of the first round, but he also had the same number of turnovers as assists.
The winner on Sunday will move on to play the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, while teh loser heads to the offseason early.
