The New York Jets have added a new kicker to their depth chart.
Younghoe Koo signed with the Jets on Wednesday, according to SNY’s Connor Hughes.
Koo is most known for his time spent with the Atlanta Falcons, including a Pro Bowl appearance in 2020.
The Falcons cut Koo early in 2025, and he spent some time with the New York Giants.
In 2025, he made 6-of-9 field goals and 13-of-14 extra points.
In his career, Koo is 185-for-217 on field goals and 186-for-194 on extra points.

Why did the Jets sign Younghoe Koo?
The Jets surely just want to get a look at Koo.
He was once viewed as one of the NFL’s most promising young kickers, but that shine wore off over the past couple seasons.
The New Orleans Saints had Koo at their rookie minicamp but didn’t offer him a contract after that. It’s clear that teams are at least intrigued by the idea of Koo.
The Jets will now get their own eyes on the talented kicker to see if there’s still something there to be benefited from.

What is known is that the Jets now have three kickers under contract: Koo, Cade York and Lenny Krieg.
