Best Hawaii high schools for athletes? According to a study, here are the top 25

Moving westward from the notable high schools in the state of Alabama, USA TODAY High School Sports turns its attention to Hawaii.

More than just a vacation hotspot, sports play a major role in everyday life on the islands, particularly at the high school level. Countless college and professional stars began their athletic journey somewhere on Hawaii’s eight main islands. Names like Carissa Moore and Michelle Wie West, Al Noga and Sid Fernandez, Marcus Mariota and Tua Tagovailoa, headline an all-star cast.

Like any state across the U.S., the high schools have been an extremely integral part of sports history, setting the stage for the greats from the past and present.
