It’s TSSAA state tournament week for high school spring sports, but before the action begins it’s time to take a look back at the previous week’s top performers and cast your vote for The Daily Herald’s Columbia area TSSAA boys Athlete of the Week.
Here are the nominees.
Ryan Weber, Battle Creek: Weber threw 11 strikeouts in six innings, allowing four hits and no earned runs in a 2-1 loss to Liberty Creek.
Brayden Morrison, Lawrence County: Morrison had eight strikeouts in five innings, allowing three hits and one earned run in a 7-1 win over MLK Jr. He was also 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs in a 13-3 win.
Jack Emerson, Lawrence County: Emerson was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs in a 13-3 win over MLK Jr.
Jameson Andrews, Richland: Andrews was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs in a 15-0 win over Hollow Rock–Bruceton.
Hudson Dickey, Richland: Dickey scored twice in Richland’s penalty shootout loss to Forrest.
Brigham Worsham, Richland: Worsham was 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs in a 12-0 win over Hollow Rock–Bruceton.
